277/999 files are directly related to the validation of your claims.  The 999 file confirms the claims were sent in the right format, and the 277 file tells us whether each claim was accepted or rejected for processing.

When you enroll in a new Office Ally account through Aloha, you will automatically be signed up to receive 277/999.  This help center article only pertains to customers who did not sign up previously or are coming from another system with a previously established Office Ally account.

Steps to receive 277/999 files in AlohaABA from Office Ally

  1. Request 277/999 File Setup
    To enable this feature, contact Office Ally Support:

        You can use the following template to request that 277/999 files be enabled for your account:


        Subject: Request to Enable 277/999 Files on My Account

        Dear Office Ally Support,

        I am requesting that the 277/999 feature be enabled for my Office Ally account. Please process this request at your earliest convenience.

Statuses Displayed in Aloha from 277/999 Files

The various statuses display acceptances or rejections at the clearinghouse level or at the payer level. The O indicates Office Ally, and P indicates the Payer (after Office Ally has sent it over). 
  1. Accepted (O): The claim was accepted by Office Ally
  2. Accepted (O/P): The claim was accepted by both Office Ally and the Payer. 
  3. Accepted (Error-P): The claim was accepted by Office Ally, but rejected by the payer
  4. Rejected (O): The claim was rejected by Office Ally needs to be corrected before submitting again.
