API Reports and Capabilities

An API (short for Application Programming Interface) is basically a messenger that lets two computer systems talk to each other and share information — kind of like a server in a restaurant (you tell your server what you'd like to order; the server relays your order to the kitchen staff).

In short:  API = a helper that lets different software systems share data without you doing any extra work.

Aloha opened our API with a limited set of available reports, and are actively expanding its capabilities. This is currently a one-way API. The one-way API is out of Aloha (we do not currently have a way to come back into Aloha).

This feature is available to all current customers upon request. Current customers should reach out to support@alohaaba.com and request API access. Once requested, we will provide the API key and link via email.  There is no additional charge for API access.

The API allows customers to pull data from Aloha and integrate it with third-party reporting systems (like Power BI) for up to 1000 requests per day.  It is currently available for the following reports:
  1. Client List
  2. Authorization Summary
  3. Billing Ledger Report
  4. Appointment List
We will be adding more APIs and expanding available report columns over time.
Warning
Aloha does not offer API Training and all integration issues will need to be handled by the customers and their own IT team.
