Creating Lesson Notes on the Web
This feature is NOT recommended to be used for Live Sessions due to our HIPAA prevention 20 min idle system log out. We are working on Web Based data collection which will allow for live sessions on the Web. This features current recommended use is for post session data entry only.
All Lesson Notes created on the Web will start as Stand Alone Lesson Notes. This means that Appointment Data, if used the in the Lesson Note will not pull into the note, and will have to be manually entered when completing the note. This note should also be manually linked to its corresponding PM Appointment.
Aloha DC offers users the ability to create Lesson Notes and add
corresponding Skill Acquisition, Behavior Reduction, and ABC data via the Web.
When creating Lesson Notes on the Web, users may create a
Lesson Note to document services that occurred in the past (e.g. documenting a
Family Guidance session that occurred yesterday, or an Assessment that occurred
last week).
Please note that this feature is designed specifically to document sessions that have already occurred, rather than for active, in-the-moment data capture or session documentation. Below are examples of when a user may use this feature:
- RBT's device lost power in session. Data was collected on paper, and the RBT is transferring this to a Web Lesson Note
- RBT provides services at a no-tech school, and collects data on paper. Data is transferred and session is documented in a Web Lesson Note at the end of the day at the clinic.
- BCBA documenting an Assessment, Supervision, or family Guidance Session after they have been conducted.
At this time, only users with access to the Web platform and with permission to Edit within the Lesson Notes module of the site will have the ability to create a web-based lesson note. Any web-based note being created will automatically be associated with the user who is logged into the Web.
Users may be assigned a temporary role with Web and Lesson Note editing permissions if they need to document a session outside of their DC App.
If a note created via the Web is later edited, the staff
associated with the note will need to re-sign to attest to the edits in the App
