Update Your SFTP Password in Availity

Update Your SFTP Password in Availity

Your Availity SFTP credentials are used to connect Availity to Aloha for electronic claim submission.

Availity may require you to reset your SFTP password periodically. If your SFTP password is changed or reset, the updated password will also need to be provided to Aloha so the clearinghouse connection can be updated.

Update Your SFTP Password in Availity

  1. Log in to your Availity Essentials account.
  2. From the top menu, select Claims & Payments.
  3. Under the EDI Clearinghouse section, select FTP and EDI Connection Services.
  4. Select Manage Your FTP Mailbox.
  5. Select your organization.
  6. Enter your new SFTP password and confirm the password.
  7. Select Change Password to save the new password.

SFTP Password Requirements

When creating your new password, make sure it meets Availity's password requirements:

  • At least 14 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character
  • Cannot contain your SFTP username

Availity SFTP passwords expire periodically, so you may be prompted to create a new password even if you have not manually changed it.

Provide Your Updated Password to Aloha

Once your password has been changed in Availity, the SFTP password stored in Aloha must also be updated. Send your new SFTP password to your Customer Success Manager so they can update the Availity clearinghouse connection in your Aloha site.

Alert
You do not have access to update the SFTP password directly in Aloha. You will need to send your new SFTP password to your Aloha Customer Success Manager, who will update the Availity clearinghouse connection in your Aloha site.

Important

Your Availity SFTP username and password are separate from the username and password you use to log in to Availity Essentials. Updating your Availity Essentials login password does not update your SFTP password.
