Please view the following video summarizing release 2.18.9. This release specifically addresses how the service locations and addresses show up when scheduling appointments.
What's the difference between Location and Place of Service?
Location:Physical address in which services are held. and tells your staff WHERE to go.It might be the client’s home, school or the clinic. This is logged in the Appointment Info section of the Appointment. It is not used for billing.
POS:An insurance code that tells the payer more about the claim (e.g., 11- Office, 12- Home and 99- Other). It does not include an address.Logged in the Billing tab of the appointment and entered on the CMS 1500 claim form.
How can I get these two to connect? When I change one, I want the other to change as well!
You can now map a client's addresses to a corresponding Place of Service code to help ensure claims are billed accurately. These settings can be configured within each client contact.
Default Appointment Location and POS: Select this option to automatically populate both the Appointment Location and Place of Service whenever a new appointment is created for the client.
Exclude Address from Appointment Location: Enable this option if services are never performed at this address and remove from dropdown.
Map to POS to appointment Location: Select this option if the client receives services at multiple locations and select a corresponding POS. When an address is manually selected during appointment scheduling, the POS will automatically populate in the appointment's billing information.

Hide an Office Location
Within Settings > Organization, customers will now have the option to exclude offices from location options. By checking this box, the office location will not show up as a choice when creating an appointment. This is ideal for billing addresses that are not service locations (e.g., the owner credentialed under their home address and there is no clinic).
