Mobile App For Android OS (Beta)
At this time Best Testing of Aloha Data Collection is completed by a designated group of active Providers. This group is currently closed. If you are an active Provider interested in participating in active and ongoing Beta Testing of new features, please contact your CSM to be considered when the group reopens.
For Android OS User’s
Steps to Install Beta App:
Make sure you have all draft notes submitted, and open sessions closed out and submitted, BEFORE downloading the App.
Delete the current version of Apple Store App you are using.
Access your emails for the email address connected to your Play Store on the device you will be testing and locate the Welcome Email to the App
Install the app using the testing link shared by Aloha in the email
After clicking the link you will be directed to Open Google Play Store
Click and download the app
Steps to Auto update Beta App:
Auto Update (recommended):
- Open Google Play Store.
- Search and open the app page.
- Tap the 3 dots on the top-right corner.
- Enable "Auto-update".
- Ensure the tester is logged in with the registered tester Gmail account.
Manual Update:
- Open Google Play Store.
- Search for the app.
- Tap "Update" if available.
- If the update is not visible:
- Close and reopen Play Store
- Clear Play Store cache
- Restart the device
Notes:
- Internal testing builds may take a few minutes to appear.
- Always use the same Gmail account that was added for testing.
Important Guidance when Beta Testing:
Do’s
- Complete and sync all active/in-progress sessions before updating to the new app.
- Ensure data is synced before closing or deleting the old app.
- Use the new app regularly and test key workflows.
- Report issues with screenshots or screen recordings.
- Provide clear steps to reproduce issues.
- Keep the app updated to the latest beta version.
- Share usability and performance feedback.
Don’ts
- Do not update the app while sessions are in progress.
- Do not switch between old and new app versions during active sessions.
- Do not switch devices in the middle of session that is in offline mode
- Do not share beta builds externally without approval.
- Do not report issues without sufficient details.
- Do not ignore update instructions.
Key Notes
- The old app and new app are not compatible and should not be used interchangeably.
- Switching between versions may lead to data inconsistency or loss.
- Rollback to the old version is not recommended once updated.
